ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Part-time and Continuing Education Directorate was established in 2018. It is headed by a Director in-charge of academic and administrative activities. The Director is assisted by coordinators selected form academic Departments towards ensuring successful lecture delivery to students and other administrative matters. The programs under the Directorate of Part-time are designed to accommodate fresh candidates graduated from secondary schools, government and private workers, business men and woman who wishes to further their desired program of study on part-time mode.

PROGRAMS UNDER PART-TIME

All regular National Diploma (ND) programs offering in the Polytechnic are run under Part-time mode. Prospective candidates can apply to any program of his/her interest among all the programs runs in the Polytechnic.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Five credits in O’Level including Maths and English in either NECO, WAEC, NABTEB, NBAIS and others for not more than two (2) sittings.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Prospective candidates should apply for admission through JAMB. Candidate may wish to visit C.I.T Hafedpoly or any JAMB CBT Center for more guidance on how to apply for part-time programs through JAMB.
  2. After JAMB consideration, the Polytechnic will release the list of admitted candidates through its website.
  3. Successful candidates should visit the Polytechnic website, create portal account and pay processing fees.
  4. Then, screening and registration exercises will commence immediately.

DURATION OF STUDY

The duration of part-time National Diploma programs is two (2) academic sessions. The first and second academic sessions consist of three (3) semesters each. Students are expected to cover six (6) semesters in two academic sessions.

REGISTRATION FEE

Newly admitted and returning students should pay registration fees at the beginning of every semester. The schedule of payment will be release on student portal.

LECTURE PERIOD

Students are expected to attend lecture and practical classes from Thursdays to Saturdays of every week. Students must also undertake the Sixteen (16) weeks mandatory Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).

CERTIFICATION

After successful completion of any part-time program, graduating students will be awarded National Diploma (ND) certificate.
